Kev L Films is an award winning Irish documentary production company specialising in wildlife, adventure, folklore and underwater filmmaking.

Founded by filmmaker, director and underwater cameraman Kev L Smith, the company brings more than 13 years of experience across documentary, television, commercial and feature productions, with a strong focus on stories connected to the ocean, landscape, culture and the natural world.

Kev L Films works in challenging environments both above and below the waterline, combining cinematic storytelling with specialist filming skills. Kev is a licensed commercial drone pilot, HSE Level 5 Media Commercial Scuba Diver and experienced freediver, allowing the company to capture ambitious material in locations that are often difficult to access.

The company’s work explores the relationship between people, place and nature — from marine environments and wildlife to Irish folklore, coastal communities and adventure.

With experience filming in Ireland and internationally, Kev L Films provides directing, cinematography, underwater camera and drone filming for broadcast, documentary and commercial productions.
